These retailers have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting passions and causes in their local communities in important areas such as environment, community, health, education, and pets.

In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.

That’s why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) and their local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Through our partnership with LLS, we’ve supported nearly 300,000 cancer patients nationwide. We’re proud to be LLS’s largest automotive donor.

Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning® by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers will have supported more than 470,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.

Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home.
That’s why Subaru and its retailers, like us, host adoption events and donate $100 to our partner shelter for every pet adopted during the month of October*. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, we have donated over $51 million, which has supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 420,000 animals. We’re proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.
*Subaru retailers will donate $100 for every pet adopted from partner shelters from October 1, 2023 through October 31, 2023 up to $3,100 per retailer.

Lafontaine Subaru Santa Paws 2023 - Lauren A.
We at Almost Home have loved our partnership with LaFontaine Subaru in Commerce Township. We have partnered with them over the last 10 years and have done many events with them that have been very successful!! In particular, the last event we did was our annual Santa Paws event and it was our best one yet!!! Almost all of our animals were adopted that day which was about 20 adoptions!! Everyone at LaFontaine Subaru is such a pleasure to work with, especially Audrey Ryskamp, who is the person we worked closely with. It's obvious her love and dedication to her job and animal welfare is her main priority! Here is a love story from Daisy♥️ I was rescued from an over crowded high kill Shelter in Texas. I was found straying the streets. The shelter I was at was running out of space which was a very scary time for all of us here. A volunteer from the shelter saw me in my steel kennel. I didn’t have a blanket or water. She looked at me and I began to shake with fear. You see I wasn’t treated nice. The volunteer knew this because my family called and said they didn’t want me anymore. The volunteer was mortified at how they seemed to not care a bit about me. The volunteer opened my cage and slowly picked me up. She hugged me and I felt her love. Sadly, because the owners didn’t want me I was going to be euthanized for more room. The volunteer lady would not stand for that. She was determined to save my life. She called all kinds of places but no one had any room. Then she heard about Almost Home in Michigan. She heard that no is not in their vocabulary. Almost Home and the volunteer got me out just in the knick of time. The nice lady put me on the transport van to Michigan. I started shaking real hard but the nice lady hugged me and told me my life was going to be wonderful. Well, she was right, but little did she know she didn’t just save one life but she and Almost Home saved TEN LIVES! You see I was pregnant with 9 babies. I’m adopted now and my babies will be up for adoption soon. Merry Christmas to all! I’m so happy and grateful as my life is full of Love, happiness and Joy! Audrey and LaFontaine Subaru have been one of our longtime supporters. They help us help the West Bloomfield School District students. They helped us create and continue to support meditation in our 9th grade health classes. These students get 8 weeks of meditation so they can learn a healthy coping mechanism and be able to be resilient as they navigate life. LaFontaine also supports bringing in Mr Peace for our elementary students. This year they focused on Leadership. In October we were blessed once again to be on the receiving end of delicious lunches delivered to 50 of our fabulous staff members at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. LaFontaine Subaru has been a great partner to us and continues to honor our hospital and team members every year with this special treat. For this year’s gift, we wanted to honor our staff who play critical roles behind the scenes, such as our operators who expertly handle the influx of incoming calls and our IT staff that keeps our systems running smoothly. I am so thankful that this was my second year being able to help LaFontaine Subaru and Mott Children's set up a time to get patients these amazing blankets! I love seeing the joy on the hospitals face when these come in. They are so important to many patients. As a blood cancer patient myself I always had to have a cozy blanket with me. LLS/Subaru Blanket Drop Off - Mallory T.
I just want to thank LaFontaine Subaru for making a very special drop off with us here at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Last week LaFontaine donated over 80 blankets and 25 arts and crafts kits to the Mott Children's hospital at U of M in Ann Arbor. We are so thankful for the very generous donation! The blankets and the arts and crafts kits will be going to children who are cancer patients at the hospital. Thank you again LaFontaine Subaru!
